Did you know that Edmonton’s Chinatown is the largest in area of any North American Chinatown? Did you know that Chinatown has a few different hearts? Come along for a walk to learn about Chinatown’s past, present, and future. We’ll touch on the history of Edmonton’s two Chinatowns, current development pressures and opportunities, and visit a few of the businesses on and off 97th Street.
The walking tour runs from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM every Thursday. If you can’t make it on Thursday, alternating Sunday tours or Private tours for groups of 10-12 people can be arranged. Even more so, if you have a specific interest about Chinatown, let us know and we will consider your request.
Please Arrive 10 minutes early and look for a guide wearing “I ♥ Chinatown” t-shirt. Meet at the north side of Canada Place. Water and comfortable footwear are recommended for this tour.
