The Edmonton Chinese Bilingual Education Association (ECBEA) invites everyone to our 11th Lunar New Year Celebration on Saturday, January 26 at Bonnie Doon Centre (82 Avenue & 83 Street) from 11 am to 4 pm.
With over 300 performers and over 100 volunteers, carnival and cultural games, face painting, balloon animals (pigs this year!) and more to celebrate the Chinese New Year of the Pig.
Expect colourful entertainment on the stage with performers and musicians from Edmonton’s 13 Chinese Bilingual schools and community cultural groups.
Edmonton’s Foodbank will be collecting non-perishable food and monetary donations, including donations accepted at our ‘Wishing Mountain’ and ‘Fortune Sticks’ station.

The United Nations has declared 2019 as the International Year of Indigenous Languages. Learn a few phrases of Chinese, try your hand at calligraphy and get information on how you can enroll your children in Edmonton’s widely acclaimed Chinese (Mandarin) Bilingual Program.
